DECORATIVE HANMADE BOX FLORENTINE MONUMENTS cm 14 x 14

Wooden photo frames entirely hand painted, simulating marble and hard stones. The decorative motifs are inspired by the marble inlays of Florentine monuments.
The painting of the raw wood is made with plaster mixed with special glues: a traditional method used in the Middle Ages by painters. The subject is then drawn and then inlaid with a brass pencil. The color is spread in successive phases, up to fifteen layers, each time diluted with natural paint, to simulate the transparency of marble and soft and hard stones.
