LA TUTELA TRICOLORE. I CUSTODI DELL’IDENTITÀ CULTURALE

The crucial topic of legality, with respect to the cultural heritage and intented as identifying element for each place in the world, is more essential than ever in Italy’s current times. Italy in fact holds a record number of cultural heritage sites and competences, and is among the countries which fought the hardest and most effectively against illegal trade.
Amongst the key players of this battle the Comando Carabinieri per la Tutela del Patrimonio Culturale stands out, a special division started in 1969 to defend the cultural assets Italy is safeguarding on behalf of the whole humanity.
The exhibition encourages a reflection upon the most current topics and operations: the presence in international crisis zones, new trends in training, investigation techniques and e-commerce tracking.
The volume contains additional historic essays documenting the activity of the division and its commitment at war.
