GALILEO
€23,00
Reproduction of the bust of Galileo Galilei.
Craft artefact produced in Tuscany in white resin and marble powder, with wooden base.
Born in Pisa in 1564, Galileo was a physicist, astronomer and philosopher. Considered the father of modern science, he introduced the so-called ‘experimental method’ or Galilean method for the first time, becoming one of the main players in the astronomical revolution, reaffirming the heliocentrism of the solar system and giving new impetus to the study of celestial bodies. Because of his publications, the Inquisition sentenced him to confinement inside his villa in Arcetri, where he died in 1642.
